Most kitchen companies order their cabinetry in and fit it. We make ours. Carcasses, doors, drawer boxes and internals are all built at Berkeley Vale to the measurements taken in your home, which is why the finished kitchen sits flush against out-of-square walls instead of being packed out to fit. It also means we can build things a catalogue cannot supply, whether that is an odd-width cabinet, a specific drawer configuration or a piece that has to work around existing plumbing.

A custom kitchen starts with the room rather than a layout template. We measure on site, work out where the bench, sink and appliances actually belong for how the household cooks, and plan the cabinetry around that. Where a wall can come out or a window can be reworked, we will say so, and where a simpler change gets most of the benefit for a fraction of the cost, we will say that too.

The finishes decide how the kitchen looks and how it wears. We work in 2-pac polyurethane, laminate and timber veneer, with stone, laminate or timber benchtops, and we will talk through where each one makes sense for your budget and how much use the kitchen gets. Hardware matters as much as the surfaces, so soft-close hinges and runners are standard rather than an upgrade line on the quote.

Custom cabinetry earns its cost in the internals. Deep pot drawers instead of a low cupboard, a pull-out pantry sized to your shopping, a bin drawer that takes both bins, an appliance garage that keeps the kettle and toaster off the bench. We plan those around what you actually own and use, which is the part a standard kitchen cannot do because it does not know what is going in it.
